Contiki Wins At The Travel + Leisure SMITTYs

Last Thursday, a few members of the Affinitive team attended the first annual Travel + Leisure SMITTY awards, which recognizes social media achievements in the travel and tourism industry. We were happy to represent our client Contiki, who won for best single social media promotion for a Tour Operator.
The award recognized Get On The Bus, a Facebook contest encouraging Contiki fans to create virtual buses, fill them with friends, and then campaign for votes to win a Contiki trip of a lifetime. It was a fun promotion to work on and a great way for Contiki to show off their fun and spirited culture.
We had a blast at the event, got to sport special blue wristbands as winners (how cool do we look!?), met a lot of interesting people in the travel industry, and sipped Brooklyn Summer Ales on the roof of the boutique Williamsburg hotel King & Grove – not a bad way to spend a Thursday evening! Thanks to Travel + Leisure for hosting, we hope to be back again next year!
