It's great to hear some tips from someone who attended an unconference, Your tips were a great help for those who were newbies in this industry. You should think of your goals and purpose before doing any steps that may cause risk on your brand. Try to seek help from professionals or attend seminars and conference that may help and improve yourself. Try also to share what you've learned. It's just a matter of give and take, contribute so that you'll both gain.

This is a very interesting topic. Social media companies have to be very careful about the returns they promise, and management is right to be skeptical. There are certainly positive externalities produced by social online communities, but they aren't universal across all networks, they can be difficult to identify, and even more difficult to quantify.

Social media entrepreneurs will thrive to the extent that they can do all of the above, and turn that into ROI after the fact. Given the nature of social communities, some of it is just impossible to predict!
